Who are the Knights?
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million members. Knights and their families stand together to support one another. The Knights of Columbus provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.
Council Activities
Council 6622 is comprised of men who give their time and talents for the benefit of their community and their church. The council actively supports the Coweta County Special Olumpics and the Georgia Special Olympics. Our Brother Knights also visit the elderly in assisted care homes in the Newnan and Peachtree City area as well as support our Parish and local community.
The Saint George Council is located on Roscoe Road (Highway 70 East) off of the Newnan 34 By-Pass. The council meets at Saint George Catholic Church. The Grand Knight for 2010-2011 is Patrick Pappa. You can contact the Knights by email at KC6622@gmail.com.
Council Meetings
Council 6622 meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held in the fellowship hall of Saint George Catholic Church. The first Tuesday we begin with fellowship and a meal at 6:00 p.m. followed by a business meeting at 7:00 p.m. A social meeting is held on the third Tuesday, and also begins with a meal and fellowship at 6 p.m. followed by various activities. Knights are encouraged to bring their wives and children.
About Our Council
Saint George Council was founded in 1974. It is named after Saint George Parish. KC Council 6622 works closely with the Saint George Parish in Newnan, providing funds, manpower and support for various church projects and events. We take pride in our members being active participants in their parish.
